Congratulations to Una Moon Laubscher Baumann, who is a senior at Oberlin High School. Una is the daughter of Milo Laubscher and Jeffrey Baumann.
She has participated in varsity cross-country, varsity soccer (midfield), and varsity indoor and outdoor track (mid-distance and distance) in her time at O.H.S.
In her spare time, she enjoys being with her family, hanging out with her friends, studying and performing as a cellist, working with the dairy goats on her family’s urban farm (which has earned her titles as Champion Dairy Goat Showman 2012 through 2019, and Large Animal Sweepstakes Showmanship Champion 2015 through 2019), mentoring younger members of her 4H club, cooking (and eating) good food, running a community service food recovery program, reading, and laughing (a lot). She plans to receive her IB Diploma, and attend college, hopefully at Oberlin. She hopes to play soccer and maybe run cross country and track at the collegiate level.
Una has had a great high school career thus far. Here are some of her accolades: This fall, she the team leader and First Team All-Conference (so far during cross country 2020), Captain, Scholar-Athlete, Honorable Mention All-Conference, First Team All Lorain County, Honorable Mention Greater Cleveland (soccer 2019), Scholar-Athlete, Second Team All-Conference, Honorable Mention All Lorain County, Honorable Mention Greater Cleveland (soccer 2018), Scholar-Athlete (soccer 2017). Achievements in track include Co-Captain (2019-20 indoor), Distance Captain, and Most Improved (2018-19).
